Linksys router – How to use Pause button on WiFi 7 routers (droplet-shaped on top)?
If you have a WiFi 7 router (droplet-shaped on top), you’ll notice a physical Pause button on the device. Pressing this button temporarily blocks all internet traffic for every device on your home network.
This feature is useful when you want to gather the household together — for example, during mealtimes, family time, or when you need everyone’s attention.
How it works
- Press the Pause button once.
- All connected devices will temporarily lose internet access.
- The pause lasts for 2–3 minutes.
- Internet access is then automatically restored without needing to press the button again.
