Linksys Router - How do I connect a node?
You can connect an additional node/booster in 2 ways, either using the 5-button press method or via the Bluetooth method using the Linksys app.
To do so, simply follow the steps in our handy step-by-step guide below.
How to connect an additional node via the quicker 5-button press method:
- Take the node and power it on as close as possible to the main router.
- Wait for the light on the node to turn to a solid purple, if it does not, press the red reset button on the bottom of the node for 20 seconds. After the light will flash between red and blue and then land on a solid purple.
- Go to the main router and press the red reset button at the bottom 5 times.
- Wait for the node to start flashing purple. This indicates setup in progress, and then the light will start flashing red. If the node does not change to a flashing purple light, please try this step again.
- Once the node has a solid blue light (this can take 3-6 minutes), we recommend you leave the node near the main router for 10-20 minutes, before you position it.
