Calls — Number porting dos and don'ts
Here are a couple dos and don’ts while your number is being transferred over to us:
Dos
Be sure to share your temporary number that we provide you with your friends and family while your phone number is being transferred over to us.
Also, be sure to download the CFL Home Phone app to take your landline service to the next level, such as being able to receive landline calls to your mobile phone.
Don’ts
During this time you must not cancel your service with your previous provider, as this may cause the port in progress to terminate and you will lose your number. We ask that you do not reach out to your old provider and that you wait out the 12 working days before contacting us regarding the process. Once the port over is complete, we will then notify you. At that point, you are then able to cancel your old service.
