South East Customers - How to fix connection issues with your Nokia router?

If you are a Community Fibre South East customer and have a Nokia Beacon 2 router that is showing a solid red light, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Please download the Nokia WiFi App from the Google Play store/Apple Store.

  2. Connect your device to your beacon via a wired or wireless connection, ignoring the "no internet" warning as you will be logging into the beacon itself.

  3. Open the app, click on the ‘Settings’ on the bottom right.

  4. Click on the ‘Advanced’ option under Network.

  5. Select the ‘Networking Mode’ option

  6. In the new menu, change the Mode to PPPoE

  7. Please enter the below details into the relevant fields:

a. Username: UPRN@boxbb.uk (if you are unsure of your UPRN number, please contact us)

b. Password: Juniper

c. Make sure that the VLAN option is disabled

  1. Click on the tick on the top right of the app, and you should now be back online, indicated by a solid blue light on the front of the beacon.
