What are the Implications of Cancelling and Switching away from any provider?
-
Customers who leave providers via the switching process will have all of their services cancelled at the same time as when their Broadband service ceases.
-
Customers who switch and take Voice will not have access to their existing number until it is successfully ported over to Community Fibre. Customers will use their temporarily assigned number in the interim, and porting will take 12 working days.
-
When you are successfully installed with a new provider, your existing provider will be notified and they will terminate your services with them at that point, so that you are never without a broadband service when switching.
-
Community Fibre will charge for non return of CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) when customers cancel. These will be added to the customers next bill, and will be credited back when the customer returns the CPE. The charges are:
A) Routers - £56 per router
B) Optical Network Terminal (ONT) connected to the main router - £40
C) Voice ATA (adapter) box which will be connected to your phone - £30
D) Netgem TV box - £80
E) Netgem TV remote control - £15
