Port Forwarding - How can I set this up on my Technicolor router

  1. Ensure you are connected to the network using either a wired (Ethernet) or Wi-Fi connection;
  2. Navigate to the home router management page, http://192.168.1.1/
  3. Then click the 'sign in' button at the top right-hand side of your screen (as shown below).

  1. When prompted, please enter the admin username and password shown at the bottom of your router.

  1. Once logged in, click into the ‘WAN Services’ box to bring up the below screen.
  2. To add a port forwarding rule click ‘Add new port mapping’

a. Name: Anything to describe the port forwarding rule

b. Protocol: This is either going to be TCP, UDP, TCP/UDP

c. WAN Port: The WAN facing port you are forwarding from (ranges can be added by separating the numbers with a colon, e.g. 5000:6000)

d. LAN Port: The LAN facing port you are forwarding to (ranges can be added by separating the numbers with a colon, e.g. 5000:6000)

e. Destination IP: The IP of the device you are forwarding traffic to.

  1. Once you have added all the information click the little ‘add’ button on the right.
