Ping - What is it

Ping measures the time it takes for a tiny data packet to leave your device, travel to a server, and for a response to come back.

A lower ping means a more responsive connection, especially in applications where timing is everything (for example - online games). The results of a ping test are measured in milliseconds (ms).
