What is age verification for 18+ content?
Age verification lets you confirm you’re over 18 so you can access age-restricted content on your eSIM.
For safety, this content is blocked by default. Once you’ve verified your age, you can choose to switch it on.
How do I verify my age?
Follow these steps in the eSIM app:
- Open the app and go to Settings & privacy
- Tap Manage content restrictions
- Select Verify age
- You’ll be securely redirected to our verification partner (OneID)
- Follow the on-screen steps to confirm your identity — this includes:
- Entering your mobile number
- Choosing your UK bank
- Securely confirming your details through your banking app
- Entering a one-time passcode (if prompted)
- Reviewing and agreeing to share your verified details (such as your name and date of birth)
- Return to the app once you see confirmation After that, you’ll be able to enable 18+ content.
How do I turn on 18+ content after verifying?
Once your age is confirmed:
- Go back to Manage content restrictions
- Toggle Allow age-restricted content (18+) on
- Tap Save changes That’s it — access will be enabled.
Why is 18+ content blocked by default?
We automatically block age-restricted content to help keep customers safe, especially on new services.
If you’re over 18, you can remove this restriction at any time by verifying your age.
Is the age verification process secure?
Yes. Age verification is handled through a trusted third-party provider (OneID).
Your information is processed securely and used only to confirm your age.
What happens if my verification fails?
If your verification doesn’t go through, you can try again from the same screen.
Make sure your details are correct and match your records with the verification provider.
Can I turn 18+ content off again?
Yes — you can switch age-restricted content off at any time:
- Go to Manage content restrictions
- Turn off Allow age-restricted content (18+)
- Tap Save changes
Do I need to verify my age more than once?
No. Once your age is verified, you won’t need to do it again unless there’s a change to your account or settings.
