TV — How can I set up my TV service

For customers on our new Community Fibre TV puck service:

Inside your package you'll find everything you need to get started: the compact Community Fibre TV puck, a gaming controller, a remote, an HDMI cable, and a power adapter. It's very simple to set up with your existing TV:

Take the supplied HDMI cable and plug it into one of your TV's empty HDMI ports. Then plug the other end into your Community Fibre TV puck.

Plug the power adaptor into a power socket, and insert its cable into the other end of the puck.

The setup sequence should automatically load onto your TV screen. If not, use the AV/Source/Input key on your TV remote to select the correct HDMI port.

Follow the on-screen setup instructions to start your watch, stream, and play experience. See “Can you guide me through the on-screen setup? ” for further guidance.

For customers on our legacy Community Fibre TV box service:

Setting up your Community Fibre TV is a quick and simple process. You'll need three items: the TV box, a freeview aerial (not provided), and an HDMI cable.

Begin by connecting the aerial to the back of the box and the HDMI cable to your television. Use the included remote control to power on the TV service.

You'll see a screen displaying a PIN and instructions to download the CFL TV service app, allowing you to sync your phone for on-the-go viewing. If you can't use the app, press the fast-forward button twice to skip this step.

Next, you'll be prompted to connect to your Community Fibre network and set up Parental Controls if desired.

The TV service will then automatically scan for freeview channels, provided your aerial is connected properly. Please note an aerial is required to view freeview channels.

Once these steps are complete, you're all set to enjoy your new Community Fibre TV service.

You can record any Freeview TV channel using a USB stick, but please be mindful that you cannot view a different Freeview TV channel whilst doing so. Many popular shows and programmes are available on catch-up players or on-demand apps and available to stream at your convenience.
