Will communal entry phones, lifts or fire alarms in blocks of flats be affected by the PSTN switch off?
Older systems often rely on the copper phone network and are easy to overlook because no single resident "owns" them. Building managers, freeholders or landlords need to identify these systems and arrange an upgrade with the relevant supplier. This shouldn't be left until the last minute, as some of this equipment can take longer to replace, so it’s worth flagging with your landlord or building manager if this has not been actioned.
